Fully Funded Hansen Summer Institute in the United States 2023

A generous donation from the Fred J. Hansen Foundation is helping to fund the innovative international leadership programme known as the Hansen Leadership Institute 2023 in the USA, formerly known as the Hansen Summer Institute for Leadership and International Cooperation. One of the best summer fellowships in the world is Hansen Summer Institute (HSI). In July 2023, the US summer exchange programme will be completely supported.

The training at the Hansen Leadership Institute aims to give students a "leadership toolkit" for resolving conflict and creating a better future for their home nations and the rest of the globe. Each year in July, this programme brings together young people from conflict zones and the United States for three weeks on the campus of the University of San Diego. They join a community of Hansen Alumnae who keep in touch with one another via various media and social networking websites.

The creation of an international community of young scholars who will use their summer experience as a foundation for forming lifelong friendships and gaining shared practical skills and training for the construction of a more peaceful future is one of the main objectives of the Hansen Leadership Institute.

The HLI 2023 programme offers both classroom education and practical training outside of the classroom in the most recent methods of negotiation, mediation, and management of cross-cultural relationships. Local excursions to historical sites and cultural activities in San Diego, such as visits to Sea World, Balboa Park, a Fourth of July parade, a harbour cruise, and the US-Mexico border, are supplemented by classroom instruction.
